How to verify my account?

Before you can start using IN1 services, we will ask you to verify your account. This is standard procedure for all financial institutions. This article will help you understand every step of the process.

Step 1. Specify your citizenship

We'll try to suggest your likely citizenship based on your device's location and other settings in some cases. But if our guess is incorrect, please choose the correct country of citizenship that issued your ID document from the drop-down menu.

If you choose a citizenship that we don't yet support, we will offer you to join our waiting list. If you are a citizen of a country where we provide our services, you'll proceed to the following stages.

Step 2. Provide a photo of your document

Choose a document type you would like to provide us with. Then, take a photo of your document. When taking a photo, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Try to fit your document within the suggested frame.

  2. Make sure that the document is clearly visible and that there are no shadows or glare that would prevent us from reading it.

  3. You can hold the document with your fingers, but make sure that you don't cover any part of the information.

We take data security very seriously. The document images will be used to verify your identity only. The images of your documents will be securely encrypted with TLS (Transport Layer Security).

Step 3. Confirm details from your document

We will fill in all the information from the document you provided. Please check carefully to ensure that all the information is correct. If you notice any incorrect or missing information, please update it manually.

Step 4. Provide us with your residential address

Please provide the address where you consistently live. This address will be used as your billing address and will appear on relevant statements. If that address changes, you can update it in the future.

Step 5. Let us know the source of your income

We are required to request this information for regulatory purposes. Here are the questions we need you to answer:

  1. What are your main sources of income?

  2. What is your annual income?

  3. Specify your employment position.

We may provide you with a few predefined options in the drop-down menu and ask you to select the one that best applies to your case.

Step 6. Validate that the ID holder is you (aka Liveliness test)

We will ask you to take a selfie to ensure that you are who you say you are. We will match your selfie to the image on your ID document. Your photo will be used only to verify your identity.

Best practices to pass the selfie verification:

  • Choose a background that is not cluttered. For example, take a selfie next to a wall.

  • Make sure your environment is well-lit, and you can see yourself clearly. You can turn on additional lights or position yourself opposite a window.

  • Don't wear any glasses, hats, or other accessories that would cover your face.

  • Try to position your face within the frame you see on the screen.

  • It's always a good idea to wear some clothes, as we might also capture a part of your body.


And that's it! Members of our team will now verify your account. The verification can take a few seconds to a few business days, and you will receive a notification when it's done.
