Replacing your card might be critical in some situations and might secure your money. That's why knowing when and why you might need to do so is essential. This article will describe the situations in which you might want to request a card replacement.

When to replace your card

You may need to replace your card in the following situations:

  • Stolen card: If your card has been stolen, it’s crucial to act quickly to prevent unauthorized transactions. Go to your account and initiate a card replacement.

  • Lost card: If you’ve misplaced your card and are unable to find it, you can freeze it. However, if you cannot locate it after a long period, it's a good idea to replace it to protect your account from potential misuse.

  • Damaged card: If your card is cracked, bent, or the chip is not functioning, it’s time for a replacement.

  • Change in personal information: If you’ve changed your name, you may want to order a new card that reflects this information.

How to replace your virtual card

  1. Tap the "Cards" icon in the main menu.

  2. Tap your virtual card, which you would like to replace.

  3. Tap "Replace card".

  4. You will be transferred to the order page. If you have the Basic plan, you will need to pay €1.99; for Premium, there is no fee.

  5. Confirm the operation by tapping "Replace Now". Once your card is replaced, it will be linked to the same IN1 balance as the previous one.

  6. Congratulations! Your card replacement request has been sent. Tap "Done" to finish the process. Card replacement may take some time. Once it's ready, we will inform you via a push notification.

Physical cards are not yet available. They will be introduced in future versions of the IN1 app. Stay tuned for updates!

How to replace your physical card

  1. Tap the "Cards" icon in the main menu.

  2. Tap your phusical card, which you would like to replace.

  3. Tap "Replace card".

  4. You will be transferred to the order page. If you have a Basic plan, you will need to pay €11.99; for Premium, there is no fee. Here, you can also edit your delivery address if it differs from the one where the original card was delivered. Then tap the "Order Card" button.

  5. Your order has now been confirmed. Tap "Done" to finish the process. Once your card is replaced, it will be linked to the same IN1 balance as the previous one.

After you receive your card, you can confirm it by tapping "I got a card" in the "Card" menu. You will need to activate this card the same way you activated your first card. For additional information, please refer to this article.


FAQ:

Will my old card still work while I wait for the replacement?
Once you initiate the card replacement, the old card will be deactivated for security reasons. You won’t be able to use it after ordering the replacement.

What if I find my old card after initiating the replacement? Would I be able to revert the process and use my old card?

If you find your lost card, you won't be able to activate or use it. Since you have already reported it as lost, it has been deactivated for your safety.

I'm replacing my physical card. Can I replace it with a virtual card and vice versa?

No, we replace your card with the same card type. If you had a physical card, it will be replaced by a new physical one; if you had a virtual card, it will be replaced by a virtual one.

To what address will my card be delivered?

Your replacement card will be delivered to the same address where your initial card was sent. During the replacement process, you will have the opportunity to change that address.

How long will it take for me to get a replacement card?

For physical cards, delivery takes approximately 2 weeks, while a virtual card will be replaced instantly.
